Dental practitioner’s awareness and practices of pre procedural mouth rinse amidst COVID-19 pandemic

Objective: To assess participants' knowledge, attitudes, and practices in regards to use of pre procedural mouth rinse during COVID-19 pandemic. Materials methods: This survey was conducted on 254 participants (consultant, general practitioner, post graduate trainees). The questionnaire contained demographic information followed by 21 questions related basic knowledge about cross infection dental offices, the attitudes practitioners any change selection washes due COVID-19. distributed among consultants, trainees various institutes hospitals as well private across Pakistan. Descriptive statistics were calculated chi-square test applied for comparison. Results: Among who responded females (n=196, 77.17%) more common than males (n= 58, 22.83%). majority (n=150, 59.06%) consultants (n=52, 20.47%). place practice government set up 59.06%). Above 50% reported that have promising results prevention transmission Most respondents around 10 minutes aerosols remain suspended air (35.43%) 5 (29.53%). Conclusion: Dental are not date regarding practices. Proper training education needed be provided update their professional development.
